Students to Take Study Breaks With Dogs, Food and Fun

两性色午夜 University Libraries will once again provide the Stress-Free Zone on Monday, Dec. 12, and Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 3-5 p.m. in the University Library. The library hosts this event at the end of every semester in order to give students, faculty and staff the chance to unwind during finals week.

, a favorite among students, will return to this event as well.

Cynthia Williams, director of marketing, communications and public relations for University Libraries, said that the Stress-Free Zone remains one of the most popular events for students.

鈥淔inals week is a tense time on campus, and many students come to the library to prepare for their exams,鈥 Williams said. 鈥淭he Stress-Free Zone is another way that the library serves our students, faculty and staff. The continued popularity of this event tells us that they appreciate a few minutes to ease their minds before going back to their books.鈥

Students also can participate in 3-D demonstrations to create snowflakes in the Student Multimedia Studio while enjoying popcorn and soda.

鈥淭his event is an investment in student success,鈥 Williams said. 鈥淩eports prove that taking a break during high-intensity studying helps to stimulate the brain and focus the mind. The Stress-Free Zone aligns with President Beverly Warren鈥檚 initiative of 鈥楽tudents First.鈥欌

The University Library will be open 24 hours during finals week.
