Laugh Out Loud: Using Humor to Relieve Stress – Attend In Person or Via Live Streaming

Whoever said laughter is the best medicine was certainly no fool. This seminar, held April Fools’ Day, Friday, April 1, from 9-10 a.m. at Heer Hall, Room 107, shares innovative research on using humor therapy to relieve stress, identifies physical symptoms of stress to promote awareness, and uses humor throughout the presentation to provide instant self-care. The workshop leader and presenter is Jinger Moore, PC, of Impact Solutions.

This session also will be available by live streaming to all Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University's Regional Campuses and to those individuals who would rather view from their desktop location. However, all participants must register in advance, whether attending in person at Heer Hall or via live streaming using the following links:

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
