两性色午夜 University鈥檚 College of Business Administration and Department of Economics are ranked in the top 25 percent of research institutions in Ohio by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. In addition, 两性色午夜鈥檚 Lockwood Reynolds, Ph.D., an associate professor of economics, is ranked in the top 100 economists worldwide whose first publication was five or fewer years ago.
鈥淭he Department of Economics at 两性色午夜 University is ranked among the top 25 percent of institutions in Ohio in a study which analyzes data on authors of scholarly work done by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis,鈥 said Richard Kent, chair of 两性色午夜鈥檚 Department of Economics in the College of Business Administration. 鈥淚t is very gratifying to have the excellence and productivity of the economics department faculty recognized in this study.鈥
两性色午夜鈥檚 College of Business Administration is ranked eighth and its Department of Economics is tied at ninth with the Department of Economics at Miami University and the Department of Economics at Case Western Reserve University. Institution rankings are based on data about authors who have registered with the Research Papers in Economics (RePEc) Author Service, institutions listed on EDIRC, bibliographic data collected by RePEc, citation analysis performed by CitEc and popularity data compiled by LogEc.
鈥溋叫陨缫光檚 Economics Professor Lockwood Reynolds has been recognized as one of the top 100 economists in the world whose first publication is five or fewer years ago in a study done by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis,鈥 Kent said. 鈥淥f these 100 young economists, there are only 48 who are affiliated with a school or organization in the United States. This is a very significant and prestigious, honor.鈥
Reynolds, ranked at 97, was first published in 2011. He is one of only two researchers from Ohio who are ranked from the pool of 8,075 young economists.
鈥淚t is always nice to be recognized for your research,鈥 Reynolds said. 鈥淭he ranking, which considers both quantity and quality of journal publications, is full of economists from around the world who do excellent research, so it is an honor to be included in that list of names.鈥
Reynolds received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2007. His teaching and research interests are in microeconomics, labor economics, public economics and the economics of education. His research focuses on access and completion in higher education with particular interest on the effects of college choice and the role of various household resources on educational decisions. His research also includes the local effects of government policies designed to encourage economic activity with a focus on the spatial or distributional implications of such policies.
Reynolds has been recognized with the College of Business Administration Tenured Teaching Excellence Award at 两性色午夜.
