The 两性色午夜 University School of Art Galleries will present work by 两性色午夜 School of Art faculty members Michael Loderstedt and Lori Kella at the Eells Gallery on the grounds of the Blossom Music Center, Aug. 3鈥揝ept. 1. The Eells Gallery is open two hours prior to and through the intermission of every Cleveland Orchestra performance.
Loderstedt, professor of printmaking at 两性色午夜, has worked in printmaking, photography and installations for more than 30 years. He received his B.F.A. from East Carolina University and his M.F.A. from 两性色午夜. His work is in public collections at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Akron Art Museum, the Cleveland Public Library, Progressive Insurance and the Cleveland Clinic.
Loderstedt has completed international residencies at the Frans Masereel Centrum in Kasterlee, Belgium and the Grafikwerstatt in Dresden, Germany. His work has been shown recently in exhibitions at the Center for Book Arts and International Print Center in New York, Kaleid Editions in London and the Kulturranthaus and Alte Feuerwache Galerie in Dresden, Germany. Kella, assistant professor of art at 两性色午夜, has been featured in exhibitions including 鈥淟ori Kella: Coordinates,鈥 part of the Wendy L. Moore Emerging Artist Series at MOCA Cleveland, and 鈥淕lobal Anxieties: Nine Perspectives on a Changing Planet鈥 at the College of Wooster Art Museum. Kella recently received a Creative Workforce Fellowship from the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
Kella received her B.F.A. from the Cleveland Institute of Art and her M.F.A. in photography from Cornell University. Recently, Kella has shown work at Gallery Drei in Dresden, Germany, The Print Center and Flux Space in Philadelphia, and Roy G. Biv Gallery in Columbus.
Both Kella and Loderstedt were awarded with Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards this year.
The Eells Gallery was established through a gift from William H. Eells, one of the founders of Blossom Music Center and the first chairman of its Board of Governors. The gallery is named in honor of his parents, Hastings and Amy Eells. It is located on the Smith Plaza at the Blossom Music Center between the Frank E. Joseph Garden and the Bandwagon Gift Shop.
