Cancer Screening Excellence Award

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH), recently announced their 2024 designees for the Cancer Screening Excellence Award and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ was among the designees. This year, ODH recognized 23 organizations within the state of Ohio who scored highly on the Healthy Worksite Recognition Program’s cancer screening questions. This is the fifth year ODH has offered this designation. As the state of Ohio works to increase access to, education about, and resources regarding cancer screenings, these efforts are deeply appreciated.

Built on the Association’s 100-year history of saving and improving lives, the Scorecard brings together emerging research and input from leading experts to help employers create a healthy and effective work environment. Organizations can earn a recognition level of Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum based on their adherence to the Association’s science-backed recommended practices in areas such as health equity, burnout prevention, compensation and benefits, and more.

The American Heart Association has defined best practices for employers to use to build a culture of health and well-being for their workforce. The American Heart Association’s Workforce Well-being Scorecard measures the extent to which the company has implemented those best practices. Companies recognized at the Gold level have achieved a score of 183 - 216 out of a maximum 230 points.

Healthy Business Council of Ohio's Healthy Worksite - Silver Level Employer

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University was awarded the distinction from the Healthy Business Council of Ohio. This program recognizes exemplary Ohio worksites who demonstrate a commitment to employee wellness through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs.
