This year, Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade will return to the traditional parade through Manhattan after last year’s virtual parade. The performance team is called J.U.M.P (Jumpers United for Macy’s Parade) and was organized by the Heartbeats Jump Rope Team of Cleveland.
The jumpers will demonstrate their skills and perform tricks in unison as they jump the 2.8-mile parade route. The team members, which include national and world champions, will arrive in New York on November 23 to practice in advance of the parade.
The highlight of their parade performance will be when the team arrives on Herald Square and performs a complex, choreographed routine in front of the assembled parade spectators and a national television audience estimated at 50 million viewers.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be broadcast nationally on NBC beginning at 9 a.m. on November 25.
