A variety of food trucks gather in front of the University Library on Wednesdays to supply students, faculty and staff passing by with a quick bite to eat. And the 两性色午夜 community is taking advantage of it.
The Community Food Truck Series happens on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Risman Plaza, located in front of the Kent Student Center, through Oct. 12. The series offers a variety of trucks from local Kent businesses like Erie Street Kitchen, Southern Comfort Kitchen, Brooks Homestyle BBQ and many more.
Fork in The Road, 两性色午夜 Culinary Services鈥 own food truck, has also been there every week. This is where senior biology student Arden Lewis got her veggie burger, and where she hopes to return this week.
鈥淭he food on campus has definitely improved since when I first came here, and there鈥檚 definitely been a lot more variety and options,鈥 she said.
While people like Lewis are enjoying the mobility of 两性色午夜鈥檚 dining services, others are enjoying the diverse options the Community Food Truck Series offers.
Mike Collura, assistant dean of Technology, Collections & Branch Libraries, stopped at Brooks Homestyle BBQ for lunch and has enjoyed the convenient assortment of choices in front of the library.
鈥淚 love that we have some unique, different options, and it鈥檚 nice to have community vendors involved,鈥 Collura said. 鈥淭he opportunity to have some local business food truck is cool.鈥
University Culinary Services hosts various food-related events on campus such as experimental food tastings, themed dinners at various dining halls and similar food truck events.
