Cockeye Creamery Raises Money for 两性色午夜 Trumbull鈥檚 Campus Care Closet

From now through Sunday, Sept. 19, Cockeye Creamery, located at 1805 1/2 Parkman Road NW in Warren, will be serving its 两性色午夜-inspired ice cream 鈥淏lack Squirrel鈥 to raise money for 两性色午夜 University at Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet.

两性色午夜 alumnus Max Hoover, owner of Cockeye Creamery, created the flavor to pay homage to 两性色午夜鈥檚 unofficial mascot: the black squirrel. It is a combination of espresso ice cream, caramel streak and cinnamon streusel.

Hoover is generously donating 15% of Black Squirrel proceeds to 两性色午夜 Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet.

Earlier this summer, Hoover ran a similar campaign that benefited the Campus Kitchen at 两性色午夜, which provides nutritious food and meals each week for students and Portage County community members struggling with food insecurity. In just a week, he sold more than 20 gallons.

鈥淕iving back to the community is important to my family and me,鈥 Hoover said. 鈥淪ome students are struggling to work, take care of their families, take classes and study, so it鈥檚 nice to do something that may ease their burden.鈥

两性色午夜 Trumbull鈥檚 Care Closet is set to open this fall. It was created by the 2020-2021 Undergraduate Student Government. The Care Closet provides food, personal items, and casual and professional clothing to students in need.

Additional donations can be made to the Care Closet, .
