Members of the Kent Indian Association and volunteers celebrate the Diwali festival of light on Sunday, Oct. 23 in the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Ballroom.

Several hundred Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University students and friends attended the annual Diwali celebration at the Kent Student Center Ballroom Sunday evening.

LaunchNET cut the ribbon on its new suite of offices within the Design Innovation Hub/

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University’s LaunchNET celebrated its 10th anniversary on Thursday and cut the ribbon on its new office suite in the Design Innovation Hub.

The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience Fellow presentations yielded 13 first-place winners this year.

SURE presenters represented the 122 students who participated in the program during summer 2022, an increase of 50 students from the previous year. SURE is sponsored by the Division of Research and Sponsored Programs and the office of President Todd Diacon, as well as several individuals, departments, colleges, institutes and others. 

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ student Ashlee Frymier, a registered nurse studying to be a nurse practitioner, has been named the 2022 Big Sister of the Year by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Summit, Medina and Stark Counties/

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ College of Nursing student Ashlee Frymier has been selected as Big Sister of the Year by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Summit, Medina and Stark Counties. 

Morgan Dawson launched Dawson Workwear construction pants in July 2022.

Alumna Morgan Dawson created Dawson Workwear, a line of pants specifically for women in construction, to provide comfort and an appropriate fit for the female body.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University Libraries on Monday accepted a donation of a portrait of Hart Crane, the only painting believed to exist of the 20th century American poet.

First Star Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Academy has created a resource, the Purple Umbrella Network, to offer support to students transitioning from foster care.

Lamar R. Hylton Ph.D., senior vice president for Student Affairs at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University, was the featured speaker for the Bowman Breakfast.

Officials from Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University and the greater Kent and Portage County community came together Wednesday morning for the annual Bowman Breakfast, an event that has been bringing university and town officials together since 1963.
