Cleveland State University and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University will co-host a celebration of life for Dr. Michael Schwartz on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 3 p.m. in the Glasscock Family Foundation Ballroom. Schwartz served as president of both universities.

Dhruba Panthi, Ph.D., assistant professor of Engineering Technology at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Tuscarawas, is this year’s winner of the Farris Family Innovation Award. His research focuses on hydrogen fuel because its only byproduct is water, which is harmless to the environment, unlike other fuels that result in carbon dioxide emissions that pose a great environmental threat.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹'s founding president was born on Jan. 8, 1867. His tireless dedication to the institution and its students is reflected in innovations that continue to propel Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University forward today.
