Honors College alumna Maya Huffman, a native of Toledo, graduated a semester early from Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ in December 2022, as a double major in psychology and political science with a minor in pre-law. Her story is not only one of academic achievement but also one of community engagement and a commitment to addressing important societal issues.

Several factors — including, age, gender, and medical history — determine how a child processes a trauma and what treatments may be most effective at preventing long-term psychological distress. But what role do parents play?
