Writing Center Review Artwork Submission Instructions
ARTWORK SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
The Writing Center Review, a writing-across-the curriculum journal that contains selected writing assignments by 两性色午夜 University at Stark students, is published each spring under the direction of the Writing Center Staff. The purpose of the Review is to present excellence in writing representing various disciplines at 两性色午夜 Stark, including biology, chemistry, communications, English, geology, history, mathematics, and psychology, among others. Each issue also features a piece of artwork from a student on the cover. These collected and published assignments may afterwards be used in classrooms, in the Writing Center, and by individual students as guides for achieving excellence in class work.
If you are interested in submitting artwork for consideration for publication on the cover of the next Writing Center Review, you will need to do the following:
- Select a piece or pieces that you'd like the Review editors to consider. The piece(s) should generally relate to themes of reading and writing, though abstract pieces are perfectly acceptable. For examples, see the art featured in the previous editions available online.
- Hard copy submissions must be no larger than 8陆 x 11. Larger pieces must be reduced before submission. Do not submit the original of any piece.
- If possible, create an image of your artwork as a .jpg file. The Review staff can scan your artwork if necessary.
- If submitting electronically, attach the ,jpg file to an email and send it to ksustarkwriting@kent.edu. Include your name, the title of the work, and your phone number in the body of the email, and put 鈥淲CR Art Submission鈥 in the subject line.
- If submitting a hard copy, write your name, the title of the work, your phone number, and your email address on the back of the submission. Place your submission in an envelope and place it in the Main Hall fourth floor faculty mail box addressed to the Writing Center, or drop it by the Writing Center in the Library directly.
