The Globalization, Identity and Space minor is intended to promote students' awareness of the differences an similarities that characterize the world's increasingly interconnected communities. The interdisciplinary program is a cooperative endeavor of the departments of Africana Studies, Anthropology and Geography.

Students develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of how global forces shape personal and communal experiences in different regions. This minor complements a wide range of majors, preparing graduates for careers in international relations, urban planning, social advocacy, and cultural studies, as well as for navigating the increasingly interconnected world.
