Congratulations to Dr. Constance Longmire, recipient of a Faculty Recognition Award offered through the University Teaching Council. The award gives students the opportunity to nominate a faculty member they feel has made a difference in their lives. Longmire was recognized in the program during the President鈥檚 Luncheon at the 两性色午夜 Student Center this past October for 鈥淢aking a Difference鈥 in the life of a student.
Longmire has worked at the Regional Academic Center for eight years in a variety of roles including teaching Destination 两性色午夜 and basic developmental courses. She said, 鈥淭his award made me feel special, honored and humbled. I鈥檓 very thankful to God and to 两性色午夜 University who has allowed me to serve students in the capacity of teaching and mentoring. I love to teach and inspire students to be more than they can imagine and to give back. Teaching is a calling that I embrace. I mentor students and encourage them to go further.鈥
Longmire is no stranger to giving back. She currently represents the campus in community groups including the Women Center Board of Advisors, YMCA, United Way Leadership Advisory Board, Twinsburg Ministerial Alliance, and Made by Kids Non Profit. Within the Kent community she is an active member of the Pan African Faculty and Staff (PAFSA) and the University Diversity Action Council (UDAC).
两性色午夜 University at Geauga and the Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg staff and faculty are proud to be part of a top-tier research university with quality administrators like Constance Longmire who have made a difference.
