Julie Evey, Ph.D.
Julie Evey is a 两性色午夜 University alum. After completing her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology, she became a full-time faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of Southern Indiana. While at USI, she served as a Department Chair and as Assistant Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. She left her position and returned to Northeast Ohio and has been part of the faculty at the Geauga Campus since 2018.
Dr. Evey has taught many courses over her academic career. She enjoys discussing the importance of research and evaluating sources. At 两性色午夜 University: Geauga, she teaches General Psychology, Quantitative Methods in Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Psychology of Aging, Health Psychology, Basic Learning Processes, and Cognitive Psychology.
Dr. Evey鈥檚 research interests began in children鈥檚 language development. She currently conducts research on online educational resources (OERs) and belongingness in the classroom. Additionally, she is interested in creative problem solving. She regularly presents for the Geauga Growth Partnership on topics that include mindfulness, curiosity, and learning from feedback.
Dr. Evey is active at both the university and in the community. She currently serves as a Faculty Senator and a member of the LSAC Committee (LGBTQ+ Strategic Action Committee) and is a passionate advocate for civil rights.
In her spare time, Dr. Evey along with her life partner, are building a 1972 K-5 Chevy Blazer to go along with their 1972 Chevy C-10.
