Guide to Finding Your Flashline Login Name/ First-Time Password

Your User Name:

Your user name consists of all of the characters in your Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ e-mail address that come before the "@" symbol.  For example, if your Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ e-mail address were jdoe4 @kent.edu, then you user name would be jdoe4.

To Find your User Name:

If you are a current Kent student, faculty or staff member, a quick way to find your user name is to call the Geauga Computer Center at (440) 834-3751, or the Kent Campus Helpdesk at (330) 672-HELP (4357).

Your Password:

Your initial (default) FlashLine password consists of information that only you would know and should be entered using the following ten-character format:

The formula for the default password is mmmyyxxxxx (all lower case), where:

mmm = first three letters of the birth month
yy = last two digits of the birth year
xxxxx = last five digits of the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ ID Number (formerly, Banner ID)

NOTE: You should be immediately prompted to choose a new password once you've logged in using the above formula.

After 120 days of "lack of use" (not logging into) FlashLine, your password is inactivated for security purposes. To reactivate your account, please call  330-672-HELP (4357).
