The Center, as a part of its role in Ohio State's local health department accreditation assistance project, has released a shared services toolkit for local public health official in Ohio. The toolkit is meant to assist local health officials with thinking about whether and how to make greater use of shared services approaches in support of their operations. The document overviews three successful case studies of local health departments working in collaboration, including:
- Darke County - Preble County Plumbing Inspection Contract
- Lake County-Trumbull County Grant Writing Contract
- Local Public Health Services Collaborative, LLC
This document is the third publication released through this project. A shared services bibliography and an environmental scan of the information base on local public health shared services in Ohio were released earlier this year.
