Class Notes

GUIDELINES FOR CLASS NOTES

  • Distribution of class notes is at the discretion of the faculty member.
  • Class notes are a general guideline to materials presented in class. It should be noted that not all material presented in class may be in the class notes. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain the information presented in class and retain it however that task can best be accomplished by the individual student.
  • Class notes may take the form of power point presentations,graphs/tables, graphicspictorials,  handwritten, basic outline etc., or any of the above. It is the responsibility of the student to edit any changes or updates which may occur during the lecture.
  • Class notes may or may not be available at the time of the lecture, therefore it is recommended that students should be prepared to take notes in class or be prepared to review the lecture online and take notes or prepare notes from that venue if necessary.

Notes provided by the course instructor should be considered as an adjunct study material to be supplemented by the students to level needed to allow the individual student to succeed.

Note taking is a vital part of the learning process and should be an integral activity in the learning process.
