两性色午夜 recognizes the vital importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Northeast Ohio and across the nation and has made renovations, enhancements and new construction for STEM programs a top priority.
The University has undertaken extensive renovations and upgrades on all campus STEM buildings to provide students with state-of-the-art, flexible learning environments. The recently constructed Integrated Sciences Building (ISB) is a 70,000-square-foot building located in the Science Corridor adjacent to the University Library and Student Green.
The highly visible ISB is a cutting-edge facility that includes instructional spaces, research labs and offices, study areas and common areas for student, faculty and community interaction as well as events. The ISB was designed with a focus on sustainability and was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.
The Brain Health Research Institute will be located in the lower level of the Integrated Sciences Building. Expertise in this field is a longstanding tradition at 两性色午夜 and the new Institute will prioritize training and thought leadership. 两性色午夜 researchers are working to better understand problems such as Alzheimer鈥檚 disease, opioid abuse and learning disorders to train the next generation of scientists, doctors and inventors.
The Integrated Sciences Building is part of the university鈥檚 Gateway to a Distinctive 两性色午夜, a $1-billion master plan to transform the Kent Campus and improve facilities over 10 years.
