Two Ways to Study Architecture
Did you know that the College of Architecture and Environmental Design offers two distinct ways to study Architecture?

Pre-professional: leads to a one-calendar year, three semester professional Master of Architecture degree (at 两性色午夜) | Arts and humanities-based: focuses on the art and language of design and prepares students for professional master鈥檚 degrees in many design fields (at 两性色午夜 or other universities) |
Emphasizes the professional and technical aspects of architecture such as structures, materials and methods, and environmental technology | Emphasizes the history and theory of architecture and reading, writing, research, debate, discourse and criticism as part of the design process |
Prepares students for reflective professional practice in architecture; fulfills most professional education requirements for architecture at the undergraduate level | Informs students about architecture and other related design fields; helps students choose the design profession that interests them most, which they go on to study at the graduate level |
Project-based design studios are the core of the student鈥檚 education. Students take one design studio every semester | Students take design studios in their first two years; during the last two years they pursue a minor (required) or double major (optional) |
