Western Reserve Historical Society and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ have announced a cooperation agreement enabling unique access and real-world experiences for students and faculty in the Department of History. Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ students will gain access to archival research materials for research projects, internships and jobs as well as research assistantships for graduate level students.

The Washington Program in National Issues is more than your average internship program. For 50 years, a cohort of roughly 20 Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ juniors and seniors heads to Washington, D.C., to participate in a variety of internships.

Senior history major Emma Kelly was among the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ students who visited Jackson State University for the alternative winter break trip.

Derailed Norfolk Southern rail cars in East Palestine, Ohio.

On Feb. 3 in East Palestine, Ohio, dozens of Norfolk Southern rail cars derailed, 11 of which contained hazardous materials. In an effort to start repairing the situation, Arcadis, an international company hired by the railroad company, has developed a plan to clean the air, ground and water in the village. Kuldeep Singh, Ph.D., assistant professor in Á½ÐÔÉ«Îçҹ’s Department of Earth Sciences, reviews the cleanup plan.

Animation Rankings

The 2023 Animation School Rankings have been released, and the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University College of Applied and Technical Studies Animation Game Design (AGD) program is ranked 16th nationally and 20th in the Midwest. This is the 12th year for the annual rankings for animation programs. Nearly 200 schools with animation programs from across the country were considered.
