Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ is honoring and commemorating the 50th anniversary of Title IX legislation with a year-long celebration, highlighting the success and impact of women's athletics at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University.
The Kent Student Center is approaching a major milestone, its 50th anniversary, having opened in January 1973 as the largest student union east of the Mississippi River and the sixth largest in the nation.
Sponsored by the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s highest alumni honors. Recipients are selected based on their exceptional professional and civic contributions and for their outstanding support of the university. The 2022 Alumni Award recipients include six alumni and one student.
A variety of food trucks gather in front of the University Library on Wednesdays to supply students, faculty and staff passing by with a quick bite to eat. And the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ community is taking advantage of it.
The first full week of fall is also the most spirited week at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University. The week of Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 is Spirit Week and includes homecoming weekend at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹. The week will be full of events celebrating Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ spirit.
This past summer, two Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University students were awarded medals in the U.S. Collegiate Figure Skating Championships, sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating, the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the country. It is the highest level at which figure skating takes place at the college level.
Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University’s Class of 2026 has arrived on the Kent Campus in strong numbers – 4,251 to be exact – an increase of nearly 7% over the previous year, the largest class since before the pandemic and the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.
New plan will empower players to maximize their Name, Image and Likeness as well as enhance and protect their personal brand.
