The U.S. Department of Education has awarded ����ɫ��ҹ University a $2.6 million, five-year TRIO Student Support Services program grant. The program serves students from first-generation and low-income backgrounds and students with diverse learning and physical abilities.

����ɫ��ҹ University students began moving into residence halls on the Kent Campus on Aug. 19, as part of a phased-in process that will continue over five days.
 

The ����ɫ��ҹ University alumni family will grow by nearly 1,300 new graduates as the university holds its summer commencement. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2020 will be recognized with a virtual commencement recognition ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 15.

The School of Art Collection and Galleries at ����ɫ��ҹ University presents “Acquiring History: The 50-Year Legacy of Robert Smithson’s ‘Partially Buried Woodshed’ at ����ɫ��ҹ University” from Aug. 4 through Sept. 26, 2020, at the ����ɫ��ҹ Downtown Gallery.

A team of ����ɫ��ҹ students took home the Outstanding Science Award from the Biodesign Challenge Summit 2020 held in June.

Timothy Mikes is a graduate student in ����ɫ��ҹ University’s College of Public Health with a specialty in epidemiology. He’s also on the autism spectrum and using his perspective to enhance the university experience for other students with autism spectrum disorder.

����ɫ��ҹ University was to move all classes online, causing surrounding businesses to do the same, like WKSU. “WKSU began planning for potential disruptions at the beginning of March,” News Director Andrew Meyer said. “Within two weeks, it became clear that WKSU would need to take action on those plans.”
