Auditions open to students and community members.
The 两性色午夜 University at Stark Theatre has announced open auditions for its first theatrical production of the 2018-19 season, Unnecessary Farce, a comedy by playwright Paul Slade Smith.
Directed by 两性色午夜 Stark Theatre Director Jim Weaver, Unnecessary Farce is a play about an embezzling mayor who is supposed to meet with his female accountant in a cheap motel room. Two undercover police officers are in the room next door. Still, confusion abounds as to who is in which room, who has taken the money and who has hired a hit man.
Auditions for Unnecessary Farce are open to everyone, including students and members of the community. 两性色午夜 Stark encourages diversity in casting.
Auditions will be held beginning at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 and 29 in the Mary J. Timken Theatre, located in the newly expanded and renovated Fine Arts Building, 6000 Frank Ave. NW.
Roles are available for three women and four men. The age range of actors is flexible; however, no children. Those auditioning may perform a prepared monologue, or work from selected scene excerpts (sides) chosen by the director at the auditions.
Scripts and sides are available from the Fine Arts secretary. Stop by or call 330-244-5151 between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, when an audition appointment can be made. Scripts and sides also will be available in the reserve area of the Stark Campus Learning Resource Center.
