What do you do at 两性色午夜's College of Public Health? After earning my Ph.D. in Criminology and Policing from the University of Cincinnati, I joined the Justice Studies Department of 两性色午夜 in 2002. When the College of Public Health began in 2010, I began teaching social and behavioral sciences. Currently, I'm a professor and also serve as the faculty program coordinator for social and behavorial sciences.
What is your latest research project? A colleague and I just finished helping the Wayne County, Ohio Community Corrections Board develop a new strategic plan.
Favorite teaching moment? I've had many favorite moments with students. Chairing a student through their dissertation is always a particularly special experience. The success of the students and what they ultimately accomplish is very rewarding. They are improving the world and are making a difference.
What's your favorite way to unwind after a busy day? One of my favorite ways to unwind after work is to get together with good friends for wings, drinks, sports, and laughs. I'm looking forward to continuing that as soon as the COVID pandemic subsides.
What is something that you are looking forward to both personally and professionally? I'm looking forward to meeting more students this year! We recently changed the advising distribution and, consequently, I will be providing advising to the online SBS MPH students. It has already been great to get to know quite a few of our online students and to hear about the things they are doing at their work and applied practice experience sites.
