CPH Students in the News: Summer 2023

Congratulations to all CPH faculty, staff, and students, who attended the Ohio鈥檚 Public Health Conference April 24-26, 2023.

The College of Public Health is proud to announce that Nouf Alsaheil, Ph.D., who just graduated with her doctorate in Health Policy and Management, was honored with the People's Choice Award for her poster focused on 鈥淚nvestigating Ohio Health Commissioners' Perceptions and Experiences with Respect to Decision-Making During the COVID-19 Pandemic.鈥

Many congratulations to CPH student Matt Craver who won first place for his poster on 鈥淏lack Students鈥 Perceptions of Mental Health Services During the 鈥楧ual Pandemic鈥 Era.鈥 Craver, BSPH Summa Cum Laude 鈥21, graduated with a MPH in Social and Behavioral Science concentration in Spring 2023.

Reema Kousar, College of Public Health doctoral candidate, has been recently honored as one of the recipients of the 2023 Healthy Communities Research Institute Distinguished Dissertation and Thesis Award. Kousar, whose research dissertation focused on 鈥淎ssessment of cardiovascular disease risk factors, knowledge, perception, and health literacy level of the Nepali-Speaking Bhutanese immigrant population in Ohio,鈥  will graduate in December 2024 with a Ph.D. in Epidemiology. Many congratulations!
