Frank Migliozzi earned his Master鈥檚 of Public Health from 两性色午夜 University in 2014 and serves as the Health Commissioner for Trumbull County Combined Health District. The organization has 36 employees and serves a population of 165,000. According to Migliozzi, 鈥渁 majority of the administration team have master鈥檚 degrees in public health from 两性色午夜. We value the partnership we have with the university.鈥
"We are also extremely grateful for the support we received from the Trumbull regional campus during the peak of COVID-19 in the Fall of 2020,鈥 he adds. The campus served as both a vaccination site and drop location for personal protective equipment. 鈥淭he entire nursing staff and students administered vaccines. The students were involved the entire way and gave over 20,000 vaccines to our residents,鈥 states Migliozzi.
In addition to administering vaccines, four students and two instructors did intensive case and contact tracing. 鈥淒uring the pandemic, there was tremendous stress on all employees. We were extremely fortunate to hire an accreditation coordinator who has a master鈥檚 degree from 两性色午夜. In addition to assisting during the pandemic, the accreditation coordinator is involved with contact tracing and coordinating efforts with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC),鈥 adds Migliozzi.
When asked of his interest in public health, Migliozzi stated, 鈥渙ur family had a restaurant in the early 1980s and I became very interested in food safety.鈥 He earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in environmental health studies from Youngstown State University.
