The demand for AG-ACNP's has grown rapidly along with the complexity in the acute healthcare environment. They provide advanced nursing and specialized care to adults with complex, acute and chronic illnesses. In addition to managing patient care, they utilize invasive interventions and procedures to promote physiologic stability.
In this role, you may work in a variety of acute and hospital-based settings such as specialty clinics, emergency departments, and acute, sub-acute, and intensive/critical care areas, as well as post-acute settings including homes, ambulatory care, urgent care, and rehabilitative care
Graduates of this program meet educational eligibility requirements to take either the ANCC or AACN examinations for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP. 2021 MSN graduates attained an average pass rate of 96.3% on board certification examinations.
