Audio Recording - Minor

The Audio Recording minor is designed to give students a strong foundation in the rapidly developing field of audio recording technologies. Coupled with courses in music, the minor provides students with the necessary tools to be successful in studio equipment, techniques and standards.

Audio Recording - Minor

The Audio Recording minor at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University provides students with a solid foundation in audio recording technologies. It combines coursework in music and studio techniques to prepare students for work in the evolving field of audio recording. The program covers a range of topics including music production, advanced recording techniques and music industry navigation. This minor is offered at the Stark Campus.

  • Students declared in the Music or Music Education major must take 18 credit hours that are separate from music degree requirements.
  •  , , and will not count as credit for graduation in this program.
  • Minimum 6 credit hours in the minor must be upper-division coursework (30000 and 40000 level).
  • Minimum 6 credit hours in the minor must be outside of the course requirements for any major or other minor the student is pursuing.
  • Minimum 50 percent of the total credit hours for the minor must be taken at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ (in residence).
Admissions for Audio Recording - Minor

Admission Requirements

Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.
