两性色午夜's College of Nursing Honored for Innovations in Education

两性色午夜 University鈥檚 College of Nursing has been selected as a recipient of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Innovations in Professional Nursing Education Awar

The awards program recognizes the outstanding work of AACN member schools to re-envision traditional models for nursing education and lead programmatic change.

The AACN Innovations awards, including a monetary prize of $1,000, are given annually in four institutional categories. 两性色午夜 has been selected to receive the 2012 award in the Public School without an Academic Health Center category.

鈥淕iven the complex work they do, nurses鈥 need to take care of themselves through self-care activities cannot be overemphasized,鈥 says Laura Dzurec, dean of 两性色午夜鈥檚 College of Nursing. 鈥淲e hope to see every U.S. nursing program adopt the strategies that we are emphasizing through our Care for the Caregiver program, and we expect that鈥檚 exactly what might happen.鈥

The award was presented on Oct. 29 at the AACN Fall Meeting in Washington, D.C.

鈥淭he selection process was very competitive, so you and your faculty are to be highly commended,鈥 says AACN President Jane Kirschling in a congratulatory letter sent to Dzurec.
