Every year, 两性色午夜 University Libraries hosts an event that provides education on constitutional issues. This year鈥檚 Constitution Day event will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the first-floor quiet study area at the University Library. Lorraine Baumgardner, attorney at law and member of the 两性色午夜 University Libraries Council, will address the First Amendment. There will be a Q-and-A session following her lecture.
鈥淲hen deciding on whom to have speak at these events, we try to find someone with a 两性色午夜 connection who is interested in constitutional issues,鈥 says Karen Hillman, director of marketing, communications and public relations for University Libraries. 鈥淲e want to make this an educational and diverse event.鈥
Hillman estimated last year鈥檚 event brought in 40 to 50 people, and she is expecting a big turnout this year as well. The event will include exhibits and television presentations in addition to Baumgardner鈥檚 presentation. Refreshments will be provided, and the event is free and open to the public.
鈥淥ur goal is for the attendees to walk away with a better understanding of the First Amendment and an appreciation for our freedom of speech,鈥 says Hillman.
