Terell Wilson, a 两性色午夜 University at Stark student, has been awarded a prestigious $4,000 Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship to study abroad. Wilson is majoring in applied communication with a minor in interpersonal communication, and will study in Florence, Italy, during the spring semester.
The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, provides grants for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two- or four-year college or university to participate in education-abroad and intern-abroad programs worldwide.
The scholarship program has a goal to diversify the students who study abroad, as well as the countries and regions where they study.
鈥淭he Gilman Scholarship has granted me the opportunity to see the world outside of America and to be in a different culture far away from home,鈥 says Wilson. 鈥淚 plan to reach out to young adults in and around my community regarding the importance of furthering their education and possibly studying abroad, which definitely has the ability to positively alter one鈥檚 life. While overseas, I will represent not only 两性色午夜, but the U.S. as well.鈥
