The Jewel Greatest Hits Tour has been added to the Performing Arts Center鈥檚 schedule at 两性色午夜 University at Tuscarawas in New Philadelphia. Acclaimed singer, songwriter Jewel will perform solo and acoustic, June 14, at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the Jewel Greatest Hits Tour performance range from $46 - $66 and are now on sale. Tickets can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center box office, online at by calling 330-308-6400. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking is available for all shows.
A few of Jewel鈥檚 hits include 鈥淲ho Will Save Your Soul,鈥 鈥淵ou Were Meant for Me鈥 and 鈥淔oolish Games.鈥 Her insightful love ballad, 鈥淪atisfied,鈥 received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
Among Jewel鈥檚 many accolades are four Grammy Award nominations, an American Music Award and an MTV Video Music Award. In 1999, she was presented the prestigious Governors Award from the Los Angeles chapter of the Recording Academy (NARAS). In 2011, Jewel and her husband Ty Murray welcomed baby Kase Townes to the world. Soon after, the singer released The Merry Goes 鈥橰ound, her second children鈥檚 album with Fisher-Price庐 and Somerset Entertainment. The album, written while pregnant and inspired by Kase, appeals to kids and parents alike and includes more than 15 songs and four classics, such as 鈥淭he Green Grass Grows All Around鈥 and 鈥淢y Favorite Things,鈥 plus new whimsical Jewel story-telling originals. The album was named iTunes Children鈥檚 Album of the Year in 2011.
In September 2012, Jewel released a picture book and CD based on a song from The Merry Goes 鈥楻ound. The book, That鈥檚 What I鈥檇 Do, is perfect for bedtime sharing again-and-again. In addition, Jewel is portraying June Carter Cash in the Lifetime movie based on Cash鈥檚 life. The film is due to be released this year.
