Annette Y. Goldsmith
Biography
Annette Y. Goldsmith, Ph.D., has been Part-time Faculty in the MLIS program at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ since 2019. With over 23 years’ experience as a public children’s and young adult librarian in Toronto, Miami, and Tallahassee, and currently as a Judaica librarian in Los Angeles, Dr. Goldsmith brings a strong practitioner background to the iSchool. She is also a very experienced online instructor, having taught youth services courses for three other iSchools -- Florida State (where she earned her Ph.D.), the University of Maryland, and the University of Washington. Her research agenda focuses on international youth literature as well as the depiction of characters in young adult novels marginalized because of health and disability issues.
