ɫҹ University’s Healthy Communities Research Institute, Anti-Racism and Equity Institute, and Graduate Certificate in Qualitative Methods program are excited to host part-two of a three-part seminar series on Qualitative Research Methods. “Planning for Analysis and Publication for Qualitative and Creative Research: After the Interview” will take place via Zoom on February 10th from 3:00-4:00pm. Distinguished qualitative researchers and editors of a 2022 Sage published textbook, Analyzing and Interpreting Qualitative Research: After the Interview, Professors Charles Vanover and Paul Mihas, will help researchers envision the work after data collection is mostly complete and provide a set of practices and strategies to guide two crucial parts of the qualitative journey: analysis and publication. They will discuss how researchers might use different tools, including analytic memos and qualitative data analysis software, to engage with data in ways that build meanings and texts to support writing for publication. They will also discuss how one might envision the work of building and communicating meaning through creative practices such as poetry and performance. This webinar will appeal to both novice and experienced qualitative researchers. Students welcome.

"Seeking and Securing Funding as a Qualitative Researcher," part-three of the seminar series, will take place on April 8, 2022 from 9am to 12pm. This in-person workshop provides qualitative researchers with an opportunity to network with other scholars from KSU and the region, hear from qualitative researchers at KSU about how they secured external dollars, and learn from NIH/NSF grant reviewers about how to apply for and receive external research funds.
