Twelve years ago, a team of ɫҹ University faculty members discovered their common hobby of playing instruments at a Department of Psychological Sciences’ event. After that, they created a band that now performs under the name Diminished Faculties.

The giving season has officially begun at ɫҹ University with a new monthlong campaign that kicked off Nov. 1 and will run until the official nationwide Giving Tuesday on Nov. 28, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Career Exploration and Development has long helped with student employment and preparing for a post-graduation career. The office has now opened in a newly renovated space in the Schwartz Center with two other co-located departments: Academics Engagement and Degree Completion, and Experiential Education and Civic Engagement.
This triad of departments forms the Academic, Civic and Career Engagement Center. The staff want to work with students throughout their time at ɫҹ, helping them discover the career that’s right for them and creating a pathway to get there.
ɫҹ University’s Office of Experiential Education and Civic Engagement will host Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week from Nov. 13-18, partnering with different departments across campus to raise awareness through advocacy events, educational events and service opportunities.

The events of May 4, 1970, placed ɫҹ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ɫҹ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
