Following a recent visit to 两性色午夜 University's Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Hillary Clinton is coming back to campus as the subject of a new special topics course. The course is offered by the Women鈥檚 Studies program and the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality, both in the College of Arts and Sciences. The class, titled Hillary Clinton Case Study: Perspectives on Gender and Power, will be offered in spring 2017 and will explore the cultural perception of the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of state.
两性色午夜 University student and Medina resident Erin Hawley is the 2016 recipient of a $3,000 Ruby鈥檚 Rainbow scholarship. Ruby鈥檚 Rainbow grants scholarships to adults with Down syndrome who are seeking post-secondary education, enrichment or vocational classes. In the last five years, Ruby鈥檚 Rainbow has granted $290,000 in scholarship funds to more than 100 people, helping people with Down syndrome pursue their dreams of higher education and independence.
The Peace Basket Project gears up for its 20th year. The Professional Women of 两性色午夜 University started the Peace Basket Project in 1997 when a group of members created baskets of 鈥渓ittle things鈥 to share with the residents served by the King Kennedy Community Center. While the Professional Women of 两性色午夜 University is no longer active, this annual event continues with the support of members of the 两性色午夜 community. Last year, more than 130 baskets were filled and shared with the community.
