Christine Hudak, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been accepted as a contributing author to the book (tentatively) titled The Handbook of Continuing Professional Development for the Health IT Professional, to be published by HIMSS in 2017. Her chapter, “The Many Facets of Continuing Education,” will appear in the section on “The Importance of Lifelong Learning.”

Sponsored by the University Research Council and the Division of Research and Sponsored Programs, this award is intended to honor ɫҹ’s exceptional researchers and scholars. The awardees will be selected based on the quality of research and scholarship and its impact on society. A ceremony and reception will be held on Thursday, April 19, at 4 p.m. as part of Faculty Appreciation Week.
Individuals who need help in preparing their 2015 income tax return may be eligible for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at ɫҹ University. A national program, VITA offers tax preparation assistance to low- to moderate-income taxpayers. The service is free to students, employees and community members who meet the eligibility requirements.

ɫҹ University’s College of Podiatric Medicine will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2016. Located in Independence, Ohio, it is one of nine accredited podiatry colleges in the United States and is a four-year, graduate-level medical college, granting the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

The ɫҹ University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed ɫҹ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ɫҹ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
