Christine Hudak, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been accepted as a contributing author to the book (tentatively) titled The Handbook of Continuing Professional Development for the Health IT Professional, to be published by HIMSS in 2017. Her chapter, “The Many Facets of Continuing Education,” will appear in the section on “The Importance of Lifelong Learning.”

The Division of Human Resources Employee Wellness Team provided kits to departments across ɫҹ University’s eight campuses to set up “gratitude graffiti” stops. The stops are designed to give employees an opportunity to reflect and express gratitude through interactive art.

The ɫҹ University Board of Trustees today approved separate proposals for dining and cold beverage services that will transform the student experience throughout the university system. Following a competitive bid and review process, the Board approved the recommendation of university leaders to begin contract negotiations with Aramark LLC for dining services and with PepsiCo for exclusive cold beverage rights.
James Hannon will become the new dean of ɫҹ University’s College of Education, Health and Human Services, effective July 1.
The spring 2017 Bowman Breakfast will take place at ɫҹ University in the Kent Student Center Ballroom on Wednesday, April 5. Doors open at 7 a.m., breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and the program will follow at 8 a.m.

The events of May 4, 1970, placed ɫҹ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ɫҹ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
