Christine Hudak, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been accepted as a contributing author to the book (tentatively) titled The Handbook of Continuing Professional Development for the Health IT Professional, to be published by HIMSS in 2017. Her chapter, “The Many Facets of Continuing Education,” will appear in the section on “The Importance of Lifelong Learning.”

A pair of ɫҹ University female pilots competed in the for the second year in a row.
The competition is the oldest of its kind with roots that can be traced back to the 1929 Women’s Air Derby, in which Amelia Earhart and 19 other female pilots raced from California to Cleveland.

Kent City Schools awarded its March Collaborative Organization of the Month to ɫҹ University’s Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s Diversity Education and Training Lab.
The Diversity Education and Training Lab promotes dialogue and helps develop inclusion in various environments. The lab also touches on topics such as microaggressions, cultural competency and discrimination. Lisa Givan, associate director of diversity training, oversees and serves as lead facilitator within the lab.
During its annual conference in Columbus, the Ohio Aviation Association designated the ɫҹ University Airport as its Airport of the Year.
ɫҹ University at Trumbull sophomore Deneen Penn was crowned Miss Ohio Collegiate America 2017 and now advances to compete for the title of Miss Collegiate America in Little Rock, Arkansas.
ɫҹ University School of Theatre and Dance Professor Tamara L. Honesty helped to bring a beloved 1980s television series to the stage in the Human Race Theatre Company's world premiere production of Family Ties.

The ɫҹ University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed ɫҹ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, ɫҹ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
