Associate Professor in the School of Health Sciences, Natalie Caine-Bish, Ph.D., RD, LD, has been selected by a committee of her peers for the Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors (NDEP) North Central Region Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award in the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Program category for 2023.
The Outstanding Dietetics Educator Award recognizes the teaching, mentoring, and leadership activities of faculty in ACEND庐-accredited dietetics education programs. One educator can be selected from each of the five program types in each geographic region (a maximum of five awardees from each of the six geographic regions for a total of 30).
At the request of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation now funds seven awards on behalf of the Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors group and ACEND庐 to recognize preceptors who are exemplary educators and mentors.
At the undergraduate level, Natalie teaches First Year Experience, Nutrition for Fitness, Advanced Nutrition I, and Experimental Methods in Nutrition. At the graduate level, she teaches Techniques of Research, Perspectives and Practice in Community Nutrition, and Macronutrients.
