Dawn R. Roginski
Biography
I am a full-time Assistant Professor in the School of Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Studies (TLC) since my appointment in August of 2021. I have served as an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Early Childhood Education (ECED) undergraduate program at the Salem campus of 两性色午夜 University. I teach the four literacy courses required of ECED majors. Leading researchers in education offer guidance to instructors of preservice teachers (PSTs) saying 鈥渋t is reasonable to assume that if we model the love of reading and writing for our students and engage our students in course-related activities meant to support the development of a love of reading and writing, our students may later model for their students in the same way and provide opportunities for their students to develop a love of reading and writing鈥(Draper, Barksdale-Ladd, & Radencich, 2000, p. 203). This quote encapsulates my beliefs about teaching future teachers.
