Commencement ceremonies were held May 13 for the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ East Liverpool Campus, during which Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Susan Rossi, assistant dean for the East Liverpool Campus.
The keynote speaker was Rep. Timothy Ginter, state representative for the 5th Ohio House District.
Approximately 400 degrees were conferred this semester between the East Liverpool and Salem campuses.
Natalie MacDonald is driven to help and care for others. As a second-year student in the Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program at Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ East Liverpool, she is well on her way to making a career of doing just that. In the meantime, she found a way to help her fellow nursing students fund their educational journeys: a golf outing.
On one of the hottest days this summer – with temperatures hovering in the high 90s – Lisa Vittorio and her Sunshine Team set up shop near the Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ East Liverpool Campus and welcomed dozens of local kids to board the Sunshine Bus as they prepared to head back to school.
Healthcare professionals trained in other countries often find that they need additional training before they are permitted to practice in the United States. For foreign-trained physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University provides a way to bridge that gap.
