两性色午夜 East Liverpool Nursing Students Volunteer at Canfield Fair

Faculty members and students from the nursing program at 两性色午夜 East Liverpool volunteered during the recent Canfield Fair by conducting free blood pressure screenings at a booth sponsored by the Ohio Nurses Association, District Three, in the fair鈥檚 Medical Building.

Student nurses and faculty volunteering at the recent Canfield Fair from the 两性色午夜 East Liverpool Campus The volunteer effort was initiated and organized by Angela Douglass, RN, MSN, CNS, senior lecturer of nursing on the East Liverpool campus. The students are enrolled in the associate degree in nursing program.

Douglass noted that the East Liverpool students teamed up with nursing students from the Ashtabula Campus and conducted nearly 600 blood pressure screenings during their time at the fair. 

鈥淗ealth screenings and education are essential aspects of nursing, and this type of activity also gives students the opportunity to network with other healthcare professionals,鈥 she said. 
鈥淗ypertension is the leading cause of death and disability in America and, together, we helped make a difference.鈥

Instructors Robin Mermer and Lisa King (Ashtabula Campus), also participated in the screenings at the fair. The student volunteers were Taylor Hardman, Danielle Hoyt, Morgan Cross, Jaclyn Gaines, Susan Nunzir, Robert Porter, Christine Mayer and Rebekah White.
