  • Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program - Funding through the Choose Ohio First program provides competitive scholarships towards tuition and other college costs, while also providing expanded mentorship and career preparation programming. One key aspect of the Choose Ohio First program is the requirement for experiential learning through research and internship experiences to prepare the students for their future career and/or advanced study.

Aeronautics (General)

Applied Engineering and Technology Programs

  •  awards scholarships to outstanding engineering students at the Associate/Technical, Undergraduate, and Graduate levels.
  •  Four students pursuing an automotive-themed major (mechanical engineering, robotics, etc.) will be selected nationwide to receive a $2,000 award. Two scholarships will be provided every spring semester, followed by two additional scholarships for the fall semester annually. Non-renewable; however, winners may reapply.
  • The George Schneider Jr. Industrial Technology Scholarship Award is funded through the for a student enrolled full or part-time, and pursuing a bachelor degree in manufacturing engineering, technology or closely related field. One (1) scholarship will be awarded for a student enrolled in the CAE at the Kent campus. To be eligible for consideration student must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or greater. Submissions are accepted mid-October via the SME website.

  • (North American Die Casting Association) offers multiple scholarship opportunities with varying criteria, incoming freshman through graduate, 3 months die casting 

Aviation Management Programs

  •  (American Association of Airport Executives), Northeast Chapter offers multiple opportunities with varying awards, undergraduate and graduate level, required affiliations with AAAE.
  • ACI-NA (Airports Council International -North America) offers two scholarships, independently administered by other entities, to students pursuing aviation management or related field. Check their website for specific information.
  •  (National Business Aviation Association) offers multiple scholarship opportunities with varying criteria, incoming freshman or undergraduate, pursuance of an aviation related area of study required.
  • (Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals) offers multiple scholarships, with varying criteria, to offset costs for college tuition within an aviation-related program or to further training for aspiring aviation professionals.

Cybersecurity Programs

Professional Pilots

  •  (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) both flight training scholarships through AOPA and aviation scholarships through other agencies are listed. AOPA scholarship requires AOPA affiliation and that the applicant to hold a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate at the time of application, among other criteria.
  • (Chicago Area Business Aviation Association) offers multiple scholarships, with varying criteria, to students pursuing aviation related studies.
