Catherine Bakes, Ph.D.
Biography
Catherine Bakes is co-director of the Center for Information Systems (CIS) whose membership consists of regional IS executives and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ faculty, staff and students. CIS areas of activity include reviewing and updating the IS curriculum, connecting students with job and internship opportunities, and providing scholarships and other awards. Bakes' teaching and research interests are in the area of computer information systems, with a focus on data communications networks and their applications. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University and has been a Summer Faculty Fellow at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland from which she has also received research grants.
