This semester brought many accomplishments for the College. Progress continues on the new Crawford Hall on front campus – a project made possible thanks to donors like Robert and Janet Archer whom you can read about below. Thanks to the support of the Archers and other contributors, Crawford Hall will provide state-of-the-art learning environment when it opens in 2024.
Pawan Verma, EVP and Global Chief Information Officer at MetLife, gave back to his alma mater by sharing his experiences with Executive MBA students and guests at the fall Executive MBA Speaker Series on Nov. 12.
Alumnus Evan Schumann, President and CEO at L’uva Bella Winery, was recently recognized by Forbes in the Food and Drink category of its 30 Under 30 listing. As a graduate of the entrepreneurship program, he serves as an example to current students interested in entrepreneurship. The College’s fall Idea Pitch competition on Dec. 1 allowed student entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative ideas to a panel of executive judges to win cash prizes.
Amy Grincewicz, Ph.D, Director of Instructional Design for the College, received the Directors Award for Exceptional Service to Quality Matters, a national organization focused on quality online education. Amy works closely with faculty teaching courses in an online format to ensure the highest quality of online course development and delivery.
We reflect on this semester with gratitude for all who have made these accomplishments possible. I wish you Happy Holidays and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
