How do I make a scheduled advising appointment?
You can schedule an advising appointment using KSU Navigate.
KSU Navigate is a student success platform designed to empower you to achieve your personal goals and academic success. KSU Navigate allows you to schedule and check-in for advising appointments. This platform replaces the process previously used. KSU Navigate is available to students and staff via browser or the app store (Android and iOS).
Getting started with KSU Navigate is easy. Get the app and Get Started.
- Visit the KSU Navigate website to get started.
- Download the KSU Navigate app for iOS or Android.
- Access KSU Navigate on your mobile device or on a web browser.

How do I prepare to meet with an advisor?
To prepare for your advising appointment, complete the following steps:
- Review the roadmap for your major in the .
- Read over your GPS Audit to determine what courses you still need (See Flashline > Advising and GPS > GPS Audit and Plan). You may also use the B.B.A. University and Major Requirement sheets to identify what requirements you still need to complete.
- Review any previous GPS created by an advisor. To view your GPS plans, select the PLANS tab at the top of your GPS Audit screen. View the recommended courses and decide whether the course options still fit within your academic plan.
- Use our to prepare information and questions for your advisor.
- If you need , review the list before meeting with an advisor to determine your preferred courses.
- We do recommend students bring a laptop to their advising appointment in case they wish to make changes to their courses or submit a form while with the advisor.

What if I am late for my appointment?
If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will need to reschedule your appointment. If you’re running only a few minutes late, please call the advising office at 330-672-2872. The receptionist can let the advisor know or help you reschedule should you be more than 10 minutes late.

What if I need to cancel my advising appointment?
To cancel or change your appointment, you can do so in the KSU Navigate app. If it is less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, you will be unable to cancel online, so call (330) 672-2872 to notify the office of your cancellation.

What if I have a question and I cannot wait until the next available appointment date?
If you have an urgent question that cannot wait for a scheduled advising appointment, please call the advising office at 330-672-2872 or stop in to see us in Suite 202 in Crawford Hall. If there are Quick Question Advising hours that day, you can be added to the sign-up list. If there are no day of advising services, explain your situation to the receptionist. The undergraduate advising office staff will work with you to address your concerns.

Do I have to schedule an appointment with my assigned academic advisor?
You do not have to meet with your assigned academic advisor. Business academic advisors are trained on all business major requirements and can support you while you progress towards graduation.

How often should I see an academic advisor?
It is recommended that you meet with an Academic Advisor each semester to plan future semester coursework and to plan for graduation.

How do I navigate the Graduation Planning System (GPS)?
The University provides a tutorial on how to use GPS (Graduation Planning System).

I am having trouble with my professor, what should I do?
We recommend you first contact your instructor and work with them to try to resolve the issue. If you have taken this step, but do not feel the issue has been resolved or you feel that you are being treated unfairly, contact the Department Chair of the department that oversees the course. If you need assistance identifying the Department Chair, contact the Undergraduate Academic Advising office at 330-672-2872.
If you still feel that your situation has not been resolved after making the best effort to resolve the issue through the department, contact your academic advisor to discuss your options or call 330-672-2872 to request to connect with the Ambassador Crawford College Advocacy Office. You could also contact the Office of the Student Ombuds, which provide students assistance with consultations related to possible solutions for university-related concerns.
