The 8th Annual Symposium of Neuroscience at 两性色午夜 University: A Celebration of Brain Health Research successfully showcased the depth and breadth of ongoing brain health research by Brain Health Research Institute (BHRI) members. This first virtual symposium spanned two full days (October 8-9, 2020) of scientific sessions, trainee presentations and professional and student-focused career workshops. 两性色午夜 graduate students moderated scientific sessions which covered a vast diversity of brain health research by BHRI members from 两性色午夜, NEOMED and the Cleveland Clinic. 两性色午夜 researchers included faculty from the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, the College of the Arts, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, Health and Human Services, and the College of Nursing.
Undergraduate and graduate student trainees had the opportunity to present their research and to submit research abstracts in an abstract competition. Abstract awards were presented to ten trainees. Pre-symposium workshops aimed at students included Scientific Rigor in Neuroscience and Careers Beyond the Bench.
The symposium was open to the public at no cost. Over 300 attendees included students, faculty and staff from a both in-state and out-of-state universities, local partners (Akron Children鈥檚 Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic and NEOMED), and members from the community.
