New Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Students

Congratulations!  Once you’ve been accepted to Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Ashtabula, there are a few things you must do before you register for classes and get started on your college career.  Your acceptance letter and Welcome Guide detail these important steps.

Log in to your FlashLine account

Now that you're a Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ student, you will have access to all things Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ in our student portal, . You can access this portal from any Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ website by clicking on the FlashLine lightning bolt icon at the top right of the page. 

Once on the login page, follow the instructions for a "First time User" to set up your password. See your acceptance letter for your User Name and Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Identification Number.  If you need login assistance, please contact the Ashtabula HelpDesk at 440-964-HELP or visit support.kent.edu.

Apply for Financial Aid

If you haven’t done so already, (FAFSA).  The school code for Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University at Ashtabula is 003052.

Schedule Placement Testing and/or New Student Orientation dates (if applicable)

Placement testing and New Student Orientation must be completed for all New Freshmen prior to meeting with an academic advisor to schedule classes. 

Be on the lookout for our yellow New Student Orientation envelope for your specific instructions! Registration will begin in April (Fall semester) and October (Spring semester). Visit our New Student Orientation page to register for a date that works best for you.

Get involved!

Now that your classes are scheduled and you’re ready to being your college career, think about how you want to be involved on campus.  

There are many clubs and organizations for students to join that can benefit your academic career through professional opportunities and help you build friendships on campus.  Clubs and organizations usually host new member sign-ups during Welcome Back Days on the first two days of the semester.
